Falling

Falling from my sin
This curse, it will not heal
Raise my eyes upward
Towards the One who's real

There's something inside me, that's hiding beneath the surface
My own guilt, shame and sinning
My lack of self control, my sinning's neverending
Abusing, I don't see

Why I do it again, the end is closing in
Having a sense of emptiness and I'm convinced that there's nothing out there that's not fake
I felt this way before. So insecure.

Dying for our sin
The curse, He had to feel
Raise our eyes upward
Towards the One who's real

Humbled myself to the Law of the One True God
Realizing my own ways
Contrite and broken will, I see my soul's reflection
God is judging, seeing my failing

I give myself to Him, newness spreads within
With a new sense of holiness and I'm firmly convinced that Jesus died for my sake
Never felt this way before. Totally secure.
